Synopsis

About the Artist

Award winning poet and actor Sarah Wilson explores what it means to come out of the closet when you’re almost thirty! Filled with humour and honesty, Vulnerable Dissonance delves into themes of queer identity, family, addiction, and hope, through story-telling and spoken word poetry.

Sarah Wilson is an award-winning poet and theatre artist. A graduate of the UBC acting program in Vancouver,  she has competed in slam competitions across the country and was last year’s Victoria Grand Slam Champion. Sarah has performed across the province, working for theatre companies such as Green Thumb Theatre, Delinquent Theatre Company, Theatre SKAM, and Kaleidoscope Theatre Company, and has been nominated for a Jessie Richardson Theatre Award for Outstanding Performance in Theatre for Young Audiences.  Her work and writing touch on the subjects of vulnerability, growth, and human connection.
